What
The 2nd SDG Youth Summit takes place in Heilbronn. Under the title “Discover Future – create future”, the focus is on the priority goals SDG 2, SDG 6, SDG 7 and SDG 12.
This unique event offers interested visitors exciting workshops, varied indoor and outdoor activities and impressive performances in the fields of music, dance and theater.
Who
Pupils from the Ellentalgymnasium Bietigheim, the Friedrich-von-Alberti-Gymnasium Bad Friedrichshall and the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium Heilbronn organized this Youth Summit across schools.
When
The event will take place from 19. to July 20, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. on the education campus in Heilbronn.

It is very important to us that the students stay until the end of the event and do not go home after 1 p.m.!
Extras
A future workshop will take place beforehand, in which schools from India, Nigeria and Kenya as well as the German schools mentioned above will come together to jointly develop ideas and visions for a sustainable future. An art school from Bangladesh will also be there online and contribute their creativity.
This will also take place on July 17-19, 2023 on the Bildungscampus.

The event is divided into five areas:
Aula area
Start of the event with keynote speakers and the Youth Summit Team.
Market of possibilities in the foyer
NGOs, companies, administration and other stakeholders in the field of sustainability exhibit in the foyer. You can find out more about their activities here.
Upper floor
In the two workshop rounds per day, you can get detailed information and be inspired in the various subject areas.

Various groups present themselves here and exhibit or offer hands-on activities.
Outside
So-called action hotspots are offered in this area.
You can watch or join in – there are a variety of hands-on offers or information options.
Highlights
From the numerous and varied offers, we would like to point out the following in particular:
- A theater workshop will be offered by Hope Theater Nairobi, accompanied by an afternoon performance.
- A drum circle with Andi Schulze helps the participants to better understand democracy.
- A course on drawing sketchnotes. This is a special form of note-taking in which thoughts and ideas are recorded visually in the form of sketches and drawings.
- On Wednesday there will be a workshop in English with Alice Richard, which will include a 2.5-hour simulation game specially developed for diplomatic training at the United Nations.
- Another 2.5-hour business game on the SDGs, which was developed at MIT, will take place on Thursday.
